Database Upgrade Required

  • Today I received this message that I received a couple of years ago. When it happened the last time it was a NIGHTMARE. I had all kinds of problems with it and I remember it just took hours to fix it. I don’t know why I haven’t received this message in a few years but I didn’t question it (as it was HORRIBLE last time).

    I don’t want to do this now. I don’t have time for this right now especially if something goes wrong, but I need access to the dashboard and to change some pages and posts.

    Is there any way to work around this? I simply do not have time for this now and wouldn’t have time for a few days if it goes badly as it did last time.

    WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.

    The update process may take a little while, so please be patient.

  • If you updated your wordpress and there were changes in database then you will need update.

    You need to make backup of database before you update.

    I haven’t updated anything. This message appeared out of the blue and I can’t access my dashboard now. I don’t have time to deal with this right now but I need to access my dashboard.

    Try running the upgrade.php again
