• I recently noticed a huge drop in my Google page rank. When I went to the Google Webmaster Forum, I received this comment as a potential reason. With regards to the comment, I have no idea why any of my pages are showing up in Chrome as https, and not http (how I thought I created them). I do not have an SSL certificate, nor do I sell things directly online (I only do affiliate marketing). Can someone please help me understand this better and explain to me how to rectify this problem? Your help (and patience with a newbie) will be most appreciated. Here is the comment from Google:

One thing I noticed, visit the following link in Chrome: https://www.google.com/search?q=site:pintsizepilot.com
Then click on some of your results with the https prefix. Since you don’t have a SSL certificate the browser is throwing a warning which will scare off visitors (and potentially tarnish your reputation).

There are a couple ways to rectify.
a 301 redirect from all https versions to http
Canonical tags pointing to the http version via a WP plugin

You may also be able to change it in your domain control panel.
