Problems with moving my WordPress from 1and1 host to Gatorhost – Cannot login

  • Your database is still pointing at the old url most likely.

    If you still have access to your old admin area, use WP Migrate DB.

    If you don’t, try out this script. Make sure to delete it when you’re done!

    thank you!
    I have just realised that although i have changed servers and location of the folder to a new directory, it will still be at the exact same address as soon as i change the domain settings to point to the new domain location.
    Will i still need to do this?

    Oh you hadn’t updated the name servers?

    If it’s the exact same url, no, you won’t need to go through those steps.
