Comments automatically approved

    I am trying to support a client who has had some comments automatically approved, and neither he nor I know why. There are no users, other than admin.

    The users are not spammers, and the two comments that we have spotted, are both on the same page, and both have had comments approved in the past.

    I have added a comment myself, with a “new” email address, and this was not automatically approved.

    The site uses Akismet, and I have full access to the raw database.

    Any suggestions?

    Missed this – in Settings – Discussions –
    Before a comment appears
    – Before a comment appears An administrator must always approve the comment
    x Comment author must have a previously approved comment

    I think that I have found the problem! (;->
