• Everything was working fine until tonight. I tried to upload a .png file and received an error message that read “{file name} has failed to upload due to an error – Failed to write file to disk.” Now I can’t upload any pictures (.jpeg or .gif) without receiving an http error message.

Any help would be appreciated. I use pictures every day in my posts, so I would like to get this fixed asap!

    Thanks!

  • Can you post your site URL?

The problem can be because of a combination of factors such as an old version of WP (3.3, not 3.4 as you mentioned), possible plugin conflicts, problem with your theme (64 Errors and 8 warnings), and too slow loading time. So, it is quite confusing where to start from. Did you edit your theme, or do anything with the plugins, etc. recently, just before the problem started?

I was trying to edit my theme to add a signature at the end of each post, but I deleted the code because it didn’t work. That’s when I tried to upload a picture of my signature, so I can manually put it in each post, but it wouldn’t let me. I tried again just now and it did let me…not sure if it’s fixed or what. I’ll keep trying to upload more pictures and let you know what it does. Thanks for trying to help. Hopefully, it worked itself out. ??
