• Hello,

I’m using Twenty Eleven Child Theme. Since I have updated wordpress and the theme, my blog appears not working as it did in the past.

At first, I have deactivated the plugins and the theme. When I have activated them, it didn’t work as before.

Categories didn’t appear, even though I have placed them in the widget on the right sidebar.

    Now I have this problem:

Why is the sidebar different from the homepage to the post pages?

If you click on the blog at https://www.drawingfashionillustrations.com you can see the categories are on top and there is not the suscribe button.

If you click on ABOUT and on each single post, you can see my blog as it should be.

In the widget section, everything appears correct.

What do I need to change in order to view the homepage in the correct way?

    Thanks a lot.

    Another thing I noticed:

in my wordpress dashboard, under posts – categories, I cannot find the ‘2012 London Olympic’ category, the one I can see if I click on the about page or single post. https://www.drawingfashionillustrations.com/about/

How is it possible? That category is the last one I added. How can I see it live and not in my dashboard?

    Thanks for helping.

    This is pretty strange.

I have managed to make the changes in my dashboard. It means that when I see the changes clicking on ‘visit site’, I can see the changes.

The problem is that if I open the blog at https://www.drawingfashionillustrations.com I still can see the old version, the one with problems unsolved.

Why? Do I need to wait? Why isn’t it immediate like the other times?

    Thanks a lot.

your super cache seems to be caching some of the pages:

this is from the bottom of the front page code in the browser:
    <!-- Cached page generated by WP-Super-Cache on 2012-08-10 11:14:08 -->

i.e. the front page version if from yesterday.

I don’t know about the plugin, but maybe check the settings, or there might be a possibility to flush the cache (?)

    Hi Alchymyth,

I have tried to do something, but unsuccessful.

How can I make changes with the cache? Is it possible to remove it?

    Thanks a lot.

I don’t think it’s possible to remove the cache. I don’t know how to flush it.

I have deactivated the plugins and found that WP Super Cache plugin didn’t allow me to see Sociable and Subscribe2 plugins. Moreover, at the beginning, when I deacivated it, it didn’t allow me to see the categories in the right sidebar.

However, this doesn’t solve my problem. The live blog is different from the blog in the dashboard where I make changes. I still cannot see the changes.

    Please help!!!

    Thanks!
