• Using WP 3.4.1, Powerpress 4.0.2, wptouch pro 2.7.1 on this site:

    https://m.elgrace.com

Powerpress is set up to use the html5 video player for posted videos automatically.

WPTouch pro Version 2.7 dynamically resized the video windows to fit mobile screens depending on their resolution. However v2.7.1 broke this functionality. At the same time it (2.7.1) also fixed a problem that broke video streaming on pretty much all iOS devices in previous versions, so I’d rather not roll back WPTouch Pro and lose iOS streaming again.

Is there an option in powerpress to have fluid width video instead of fixed width? I can’t find it anywhere as an easy to access option…

If not, can you point me in the right direction of how/where I might apply the following code/example:

Or if there’s an easier/better way to do it?

The width/height settings should accept values followed by a percent sign. Give that a try. If it doesn’t work, let me know and I’ll follow up to see why that doesn’t work.

If you are using the PowerPress player, if you set your page width correctly for iOS devices, the player should reside within the page. When someone clicks play on an iOS device, an option in the player controls to expand full screen is there by default, so you don’t have to worry too much about this in that situation. The only “catch” is if the theme doesn’t set the viewpoint for iOS.

Google “iOS meta viewport initial-scale”, I think the first result should be to apple.com, it explains how to configure.
