    Andrew,

Does this relate to https://www.andrewyonda.com/ ?

This can happen with shared hosting where a less well-behaved plug-in or website calls Twitter too many times.

As soon as the plug-in gets through to Twitter for the first time (which appears to have already happened on your website), then it will collect your latest tweets and you shouldn’t see the message again.

Has the problem gone away yet? I can’t see it at https://www.andrewyonda.com/ – but if it relates to another website, please let me know.

    Best wishes,

    Martin

Okay I changed some settings randomly and got it working. The non-working settings were “I tweet” for the title, “andrewyonda” for the twitter name, checked boxes were “Exclude replies” and “show button only”. 1 tweet, 6 seconds.

Thanks Martin. I tried it for about 15 minutes, I tried changing the Title and Twitter name, that didn’t work, but when I changed a bunch of other settings, it worked. Not sure exactly what did the trick.

I think it may just have been the delay until your hosting wasn’t rate limited and your site was able to get through to Twitter again.

You should be able to change the title, twitter name – and show the button without any problem.

The ‘exclude replies’ setting might lead to another delay before your site gets through to Twitter successfully. It depends how many other websites on your host are also trying to contact Twitter.
