Add text to portfolio page

  • Hi – newbie here, so be gentle!

    I’m trying to add text to the top of a portfolio page using a template I have purchased. I want it to appear below the header and page title, but above the portfolio images.

    I’m pretty sure I need to add some code somewhere, but am not sure how or where? Can anyone help me out?

  • Please, go to appearance>editor menu
    Here you can find the theme back-end files, area of your interest will probably be in header.php, clue only, but, this is not necessary.

    Is that text a static text ?
    if it is a theme i am assuming it would have its own portfolio theme page instead of default theme page.
    So you might have to go into that page just before the post loops start add your text.

    the better option would be to posting your site link and pointing it exactly to where u would want it to get more accurate help, as right now we r just throwing arrows in air

    Thanks so much for the replies – I think I have figured out a solution.

    I’ve just installed the NextGen gallery plugin which gives me many more options and manages the text at the top without a problem!

    I’m sorry if I have wasted your time…still learning!
