Import from WP.com not importing posts

  • Hi,

    A client just switched from a wordpress.com blog to one we’re hosting for her, but for some reason, when she imports the file that she exported from wp.com, none of the posts are brought in.

    I can see the posts in the file if I open it in a text editor, so I know they’re there, and when I tried to import it myself, I made sure to select her account when importing so that she’d be able to see / work with them.

    It seems like the only thing that gets imported are the images.

    Any suggestions? I looked through the forums but most of what I saw seemed to have to do with importing from other sources, or had to do with issues we don’t have.
