    Hi,

I may have found a small bug. For now, I used your awesome plugin just for a couple of internal links (one pointing to home and the second to my blog). It turned out that the first link was opening whatever tab was open already when you clicked on the button. I resolved it by skipping the first link and shuffling both of them down, but I thought I’d let you know.

    Thanks,
    Witek

Thanks for letting me know. I couldn’t find the source of the issue, but it’ll be resolved in all likelihood when I implement the optional new tab option.

Now that the optional new tab feature’s available, has the problem been resolved?

If not, could you provide the details (links, your browser/OS, WP/plugin versions, etc.)?

    Hey,

The optional new tab feature works well. However, the ‘custom URL 1’ is still sending to whatever page is currently open.

    OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
    Browser: Chrome, FF
    WP: 3.4.1
    Plugin: 1.3.4

The site is https://wacinski.com. I left the faulty first link up for you. Let me know once you check and I’ll deactivate it again.

    Thanks

Great use of the plugin, first of all! Thanks for providing the link, it confirms that the 1st custom url is coming out as null (empty) – leaving nowhere for the link to point to, which most browsers interpret as reloading the current page.

I still haven’t been able to replicate the bug myself, but a couple others have reported this same issue. I have a hunch that it may have something to do with the first version of the plugin you used – do you know what that would be? Alternatively, if you know approximately when you first installed the plugin, I can find the corresponding version number.

You might also be able to resolve it by deactivating the reactivating it – does that fix it? I’m perplexed, because the bug seems to only effect the first custom link, but that link uses the same code as the others…

Hopefully once I can reproduce the bug, I can find a solution.

I posted here immediately after the installation so about a week ago. I just re-installed the plugin and it didn’t help with the URL 1 issue.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was just able to replicate it on an completely clean install of this latest version, but I’m still trying to find the issue. I did find and fix an unrelated bug though. I’m pretty sure the issue’s been there since version 1.3.1…

So anyway, thanks for you help and now that I can reproduce the bug I’ll keep digging until I find the root cause; then I’ll release an update once I fix it (hopefully very soon).

Okay, the update is out (has been for some time, but www.ads-software.com was having issues…). The bug is fixed and everything should be working as intended.
