Advice on a good "Whats News or announcement" scroll

Hi there

I would like to add a News/Ammouncement scroller on my home page of my site

I would love to be able to full customise it – I dont want it in my sidebar so I possibly want code that I can copy over to my page template.

I would also like it transparent so I can see my page background image through it too.

Any help or advice would be great as I dont want to download thousands to find the right one if you know of one I would greatly appreciate it!
