Twenty Eleven Sidebar not showing

    I’m trying to add a facebook like box to my home page. It works fine when I put it in a table, but the facebook box appears below my text and I would prefare it beside it. Basically the table doesn’t really work. So I switched to showcase and added a text/html widget. The facebook box again appears on the bottom of the page.
    So what I’d like is a sidebar with the widget in it.
    I’m using the sidebar template for the home page only (rest are default), and I’ve added the working text/html widget to ‘main sidebar’ in dashboard .. but nothing shows at all now on the site.
    Site is currently not live, can’t change that yet.
