[Plugin: Meetup Widgets] Did Not Do Anything

  • I downloaded and tried this plugin multiple times and each time, even with the 3 magic API code keys (which are very time-consuming to find), the plugin simply did nothing at all. It did not link to my meetup.com account or display anything at all. Just empty. When I posted the question on the forum, the suggestion was to clear my cache – which I did multiple times and still nothing showed up.

    It is a widget only plugin, did you drag them in place and try different widget locations? Maybe there is a conflict with the theme.

    I agree it is a pain to find the data needed, that’s a flaw with Meetup.com. Maybe direct links to where you can find the info on the plugin screen would help.

    I really wish there was a calendar embed feature. The other plugin does not seem to be working for me, could be my theme.

    4795209, try walking through the steps here, under Activate Widgets. If you don’t have the widgets item in your appearance menu, you either don’t have permission to add widgets, or your theme does not support them. If your theme does not support widgets, then you can’t use this plugin (sorry).

    If you’re not sure where your widgets will display, try adding a text widget & looking for it on your site.
