Cannot get photos to show on posts

  • Hi. I am new to wordpress, and I am already ready to chuck it out the window. When trying to post on my blog, I cannot get any photos to show up, when I insert them. Not in the admin, nor the actual front page post. All I get is a blank box. I at first thought it was the theme I was using (placeholder from woothemes), but when I reactivated the twenty eleven theme it’s the same. I have no plugins installed at all. Just a first time basic install of wordpress. I’ve searched google, and tried every possible setting in media, posts, etc. I even tried to make it a featured image. No dice. I checked and it is uploaded and in the wpcontent/uploads folder. heres the site: kltproducts.info Any ideas?

    You can toss WordPress out the window if you like, but until you fix your nginx configuration it won’t matter. Your problem is not a WordPress issue.

    Which your web server clearly is tossing a 403 Forbidden error message. Check your nginx configuration, once you fix that then the images should load just fine.

    Personally I hope you stick with WordPress. ??

    Using nginx can be tricky but once setup correctly it should just work.

    nginx??? I have a msql database installed on the host for wordpress. I have not installed ngnix. So yes this is a wordpress issue. I went ahead and placed a copy of the photo in the https://kltproducts.info/wp-content/uploads/2012/08//2012/08/ directory, still no dice. I’m gonna try to reinstall wordpress and try again. If it still doesn’t work than time to try joomla or just go back to html and css. ??

    I’m sorry, but that’s not the case and wishing it were otherwise won’t solve it for you.

    When you visit https://kltproducts.info/wp-content/uploads/2012/08//2012/08/bedding2.jpg you get the following message.

    403 Forbidden

nginx/1.2.1

    See that nginx/1.2.1? That’s your web server software that’s fronting WordPress. Speak with your host provider, it sounds as if the directory or file permissions are not set correctly for your installation.

    That URL should show up a graphic image and the fact that it’s not means it’s a problem outside of WordPress.
