• I recently migrated and have had nothing but issues with my photos. To start, none of them migrated properly and I had to go in and reattach some.

    I’ve attached two sets of photos to two posts so far. One of my current issues is, I deleted the gallery (that was made with an older .com version) because it was giving me so many problems.

    Problem is, the post itself is still “attached” to these photos in the media gallery, so I can’t “attach” them from the gallery. If I go in from the post side, I have an insert option, but nothing that will actually work to drop the photos back in. It’s essentially a “viewer.”

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

    they have been. numerous times. the media gallery still shows they’re attached.

    i actually have a more serious problem i’d like to ask about. hoping someone can chime in on this.

    within the elegant photo theme, i changed the script in the singlepost.php file from:

    <?php the_post_thumbnail(‘post-thumbnail’); ?>

    to:

    <?php the_post_thumbnail(‘large’); ?>

    because i was having an issue with my photos only showing up as thumbs (cropped) in my posts. i now know i have to go and edit each one so the “thumb” can be the entire photo.

    even after i changed it back, it threw off the “set featured image” header photo. the photo now drops way below the header into my content (and i am using the theme’s recommended res and it was working fine before). Plus, now if i attach a new photo to an existing blog, it’s full-res and is unbearable to view in the post (they’re not even that large).

    even if i go into the post’s media gallery to change to small, the image is still large.

    can anyone chime in? i am a photographer. this is a photo blog. i need to get this going.

    thank you to anyone who can help.

    you removed anything else to do.

    so, from your understanding, based on what i am saying i’ve done, my site shouldn’t be behaving like this? i at a loss, here.

    OK now that I have you in shock – do you? or or do you not?? have a full site backup?

    i have a compressed version of my httpd/unix-directory file for that domain. i figure that isn’t enough.

    i just migrated, so there was very minimal work done, and everything is still up at my old wp.com.

    suggestions? complete reinstall?

    thanks for your time. i am not an idiot, but i am new (obviously) to the .org

    Site link to running dot com = ?

    i know bumps aren’t allowed, but I am really struggling with this issue.

    And suggestions would be more than welcomed. Time to uninstall and reinstall?

    Thanks.
