i never will understand all hosting call “unlimited” bandwith and “unlimited” space but all the time is not true.Hey guys, hosting topics will typically be closed since they attract a lot of attention from “free hosting” and “unlimited hosting” companies, so I’m going to try and answer this questions as well as I can, Marius.
What you’re looking for is a Managed WordPress Hosting company. Someone that will be more expensive than GoDaddy / Bluehost / Dreamhost, but will be one of those “you get what you pay for situations.” Here are the 4 companies I would recommend looking at: ZippyKid, WebSynthesis, Pagely, and WP Engine.
Now, I’m a WP Engine employee, so I’m totally biased and I recommend you do your own research into the best fit for your needs. Here’s a thread on Quora that I answered recently which contains links to several conversations that handle this very topic: https://www.quora.com/WordPress/What-is-best-WordPress-hosting-site
As far as pitching WP Engine: we can handle 3K uniques concurrently if the need arises. Most managed hosts can do that, no questions asked, so you can’t go wrong with any of the 4 companies I’ve listed. Also look into the security protocol, and the support of the hosting companies. WP Engine has a staging area, automatic backups, and Git-Push in case you like doing version control.
Please check out each company and see which one fits your needs best. They’re all top notch, and run by amazing people (I’ve met them).
Something I forgot to mention here – 3K visitors a day is about 125 visitors an hour. That’s definitely something that shared hosting can handle for you. You don’t necessarily need to jump up to a premium host for that traffic yet.
The folks listed on the recommended hosting page https://www.ads-software.com/hosting/ will suit you just fine as long as your traffic stays in that ballpark.
Simpler answer than above ??
25,000 visits / month offer the wp engine.. 29$ really dissapoint.
3k x 30 days = 90,000 visits. 90,000 is not 25.000
so with wp engine probably i have to buy the second plan at 99$ at month
for handle 100 k visit at month.
lol crazy team.so, with godaddy at the moment i have no problem with 3k visit at day
and i pay a little price for a big service. just 6$ month and i reach 3k visit a day without any PROBLEM!.now you think the wp engine is more best then godaddy? i think really NO!
Godaddy at the moment is the best hosting provider i ever try in the last 6 months.
I tried both and I prefer wpengine. Here are the main reasons;
Reason-1: my speed tests, ping and tracert showed better results at wpengine
Reason-2: Support is much better at wpengine. They are very helpful and friendly. The support team at websynthesis is not very cooperative, not helpful, and has very rude attitude.
wpengine also has instant Chat Support you can use anytime.
Reason-3: wpengine has better back-up system. You can create backup points, then when you need it, you can select a backup and hit “Restore” to restore your site to a previous version instantly. So I always create a new backup points before you I make any changes or add anew plugin etc. I can also download .zip files of my backups for safe keeping.
So I do not have to pay extra for daily or instant backup services.
Reason-4: Security; wpengine has their in-house system for vulnerability scanning. They also use SecTheory and Sucuri for external network connections. they scan and monitor your web site and database for known vectors and exploits.
I am not affiliated with any of the hosting companies. These are my honest opinion and experience after I use them both. Choosing a reliable hosting company, especially the one you feel comfortable contacting them any time for support and advice is very important. I hope this helps for other web site owners.
Best regards.
I’ve been running bluehost with no issue.
DO NOT let any one tell you godaddy is a good or even decent web host.
At 1,000 views at any given time your site will crash and go daddy will not allow you to run it on there servers as it is too much traffic for there servers.
wpengine is a top notch wordpress web host that is used by many professionals and business’s in the industry. If you can spare the money, i can promise you will have nothing but good times with them.
I am not affiliated with any web hosts, I am a web developer full time and just like to share knowledge from my experiences.
A client of mine was running a godaddy site, and we needed to post a form for an upcomming event. When the news was released that the form was up online, we were getting ~500 views/hr. Go daddy took down my clients site and told him the traffic he was drawing was far too much and would need to purchase dedicated hosting.
I haven’t gone back or worked with go daddy since.
