    Hi

    Sorry if this is a common problem, but it’s nigh impossible to search for.

    When I make a post, there is varying levels to how the <br /> and <p> tags work. Check the top post here: https://www.sential.co.uk and you can see the first few sentences are spaced ok (you can also see this in the source code,) but then halfway down the spacing is lost entirely. According to the source code it’s rendered out with the first few <br /> line breaks, but then after that a line break is treated as </p>

    <p>, which doesn’t cause the line break, which is what I need.

    It’s happened with a couple of posts and I can’t see why. I’m writing them out exactly the same and there shouldn’t be a difference between where it’s been rendered as <br /> and </p>

    <p>

    this is a frustrating problem as it’s screwing up the spacing.

    Regards
    -Luke

    I’ve done some more investigating and it appears there are inconsistencies between the way wordpress (1.52) renders new lines. Does anyone know how to get this working most simply? It seems to have these ridiculous rules: I can only use a line break if it’s before a line and i can’t use more than one otherwise it’ll turn into a new paragraph, etc etc.

    Anyone know how to get it on my side? Or even how I can stop it messing with the html at all?
