password reset through word press

    I’m porting my old website over to wordpress. My current “forgot password” reset scheme is to email them a link to a change password page. Not sure how to do that in WordPress. As best I can tell the only link that works from the browser is the home page link. otherwise I get file not found errors or 404 error. I’ve tried a few variations but can’t seem to load the change_passwd.php page.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  • Why not just tell them to go to wp-login.php? There’s a Forgotten password link on that page.

    I’m not using the wp login. I’m logging to my own syatem which included shopping cart and o line education.
