switching from one site to another

  • OK I have a wordpress site. I added a new site to a new folder within the initial wordpress install, let’s call the folder, “new_site.”

    So, I went to the initial wordpress site and tried to change the following::
    WordPress Address (URL)
    Site Address (URL)

    When I did this, the site had some of the old CSS combined with the new site CSS. Same thing for content.

    Can someone explain how to do this properly?
