[Plugin: Social Media Widget] e-mail

In the e-mail url box, I typed: mail to: [email protected] (only I put in my actual e-mail address). When I click on it on my live website, it just gives me a 404 message.
I have read through the other forum posts and answers. It looks like I followed the directions. Can you help?
