Remove specific post from main blog roll?

I would like to hide one specif post from the main blog roll does anyone know how?

I’ve read the codex, but I don’t understand. It’s not very clearly written at all. Shows how to remove categories from -3&-8 but doesn’t explain how to combine this with an instruction like posts_per_page=1 or remove categories with names not numbers.
