[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] Setting to block indexing of comment admin words?

WordPress v 3.4.1
Worpress SEO 1.2.7Hi,
I’m stumped and hope you can help. I’m having extreme difficulty finding anyone who can speak to this issue.
According to our WordPress SEO, when we optimize keywords for a page, we get the green light in all areas but we’re not having the SEO result we had before using WordPress.
Earlier this week I noticed that when I look in Google Webmaster Tools, many of the keywords Google recognizes as important in defining our site are comment admin words like “Reply” or “July” or August” — words that are not keywords but merely date the comments. We are experiencing the same problem with our “recent comments” feed contributing irrelevant keywords. Have you ever heard of this throwing off SEO and is there a setting in WordPress SEO that might prevent it, possibly by indicating to SEs that certain sections of the page are more relevant than others?
If not, can you confirm whether or not this is actually a problem and possibly suggest how to start addressing it?
I would be most grateful as would be the wall I’ve been banging my head against! ??
Thanks!
Michael
