Adding Custom Fields requires Publish Update to add next field

Since the WP 3.4 update, I have had a problem with adding custom fields to a page. I use to be able to add three or four to each page at a time. Each time I would add the custom field it would show up in a list.

Now when I add one, it displays a small Box that says “Add Custom Field”. it doesn’t actually show up until I hit “Update” in the publish section of the page. It takes forever to add a page with any custom fields.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how do I get back to being able to add more than one custom field at a time?
