Thank you, I tried this before (and I tried it again after receiving your answer). It does not solve my problem (and worse, it changed the slideshows display instructions (faster, slower, etc. ) partly back to English instead of French… (?)

I got around the problem by getting rid of the covers and displaying the slideshows directly at the right place on the page (with the command : %%slide=…). But I would still like to know if somebody can come up with a solution. Once again : when one click on the covers, it seems like one clicks at the same time on some invisible “<a href=”#top”…” command, triggering a jump to the top of the page.

Otherwise, I really like WPPA, it is flexible and easy to configure. Great tool!

What are the link settings in the album admin: Link type: and Link to: (just above the Reset Ratings button)?

Do you use a multilanguage plugin like qTranslate?

I would like to see the problem, so can you temporary put the album covers back?

You are right. Something like that happens. It is the one i forgot to fix after ajaxification.

If you wait half an hour, then de-activate the plugin and re-install via the plugins page, you will have the hotfix for this issue. The language issue: Please check Table IX-A3: wppa debugging, then i can investigate on it.

I got rid of the old version and install the new one according to the instructions on page https://wppa.opajaap.nl/wppa-tutorial/how-to-install-a-hot-fix/. In the options admin page, I checked the box for Ajax and also the Table IX-A3 allowing debugging. But there is still the language problem : under the diaporama, it is written : Slower / Arrêter / Faster… (This problem does not appear on the other pages where I installed the slideshows directly, the translation is fine). Also, on the cover box, it is written “Visualiser 5 photos” in black. I want to get rid of this, it is not necessary. I looked at all the options, but I could not see where I could fix this problem. All these bugs disappear when I uncheck Ajax, but then the first problem reappear (i.e. the jump at the top of the page).
I will leave the page with the cover for a couple of days if you want to see for yourself and investigate more into these problems. But frankly, I am quite happy with displaying the slideshows directly (without covers). I rather not mess with a good thing, everything is working perfectly well this way and I am happy with the result! And most importantly, the language issue is my prime concern, I rather have a good French translation than displaying the covers. Thanks again very much for your prompt replies!

Another small thing : I was wondering if it would be possible to have “Démarrer le diaporama” instead of “Démarrer Le diaporama” (i.e. “l” in lower-case instead of capital, which is wrong) ? Thanks again!

I cracked the mixed language issue. It will be fixed in the next version (4.7.12 expected to be available before or on monday).

Let me guess: Your admin language is english, your frontend language is french.

Are there more words as you know like Slower and Faster? If so, i can change them too.

The Le will be le in the next version.

The admin language (you mean the instructions for WPPA, I suppose?) is a weird mix: some sections in French, some in English (sometimes with a couple of sentences in French and others in English in the same section, like in Aide & Info, for example). But I don’t mind, I read both!

The only mistakes on the frontend are : Slower / Faster (which should be replaced by Ralentir / Accélérer). Otherwise everything is fine.

The french translation of the admin side (backend) is very old and incomplete, that is why. I don’t speak enough french to translate, but a canadian photographer (Jules G) is working on it.

Update to 4.7.12. If your issues are fixed, you may revert the debug switch and change the slideshows to immediate running if you like.
