  • Although this problem is rarely reported, I have added a question to the FAQ about it. So, see the FAQ, question U46.

This problem is not caused by many options, since WordPress does cache all options. And sorry for so many features ??

    thanks or your replay

    i will look for it

the plugin is so amazing and works great

    but this is a problem

maybe coz i have too many posts

    (@tarikbarraj)

so i see more than one solution

    wich the best solution ?

1.try increasing the refresh/cache time (option Refresh Facebook comments every, settings tab Admin)

2.try decreasing the number of posts to import comments for (option Refresh Facebook comments for)

3.try enabling the option Refresh Facebook comments in the background.

I was about to answer: then definitely try the option ‘Refresh Facebook comments in the background’.

And also try to set the option ‘Refresh Facebook comments for’ to just one day to see if this improves things.

    i did that

so , will i have any problems if i delete generated rows by the plugin in the wp-options table ?

    see the screen shot

    i did that too

And also try to set the option ‘Refresh Facebook comments for’ to just one day to see if this improves things.

    i hope to improve

If you delete these rows, your site will just get slower, because WordPress uses transient options for caching. These options will be deleted automatically when they time-out. See here for more information.

    (@tarikbarraj)

so its mean my site will go faster when wordpress deleted it when they time-out.?

No, it means if you delete these options manually, your site will get slower, because the plugin has to communicate with Facebook again to get data.

The transient options temporarily store data retrieved from Facebook.

A large number of options should not slow down your site, because WordPress does cache most options, unless your hosting server has not much memory available, but that is something only your hosting provider can fix.

    (@tarikbarraj)

aha, so i need to contact my hosting provider and ask it to increase my server memory

Maybe, but first try the suggested solutions.

    (@tarikbarraj)

i did and i will wait to see the result

    thanks a lot
