Edit the index page through ftp not wordpress editor

I created the page “home“, but i have to create the functionality, those functionality is in home page. So, if i have to create the index page and it is upload through filezilla and those link has to be edited in the admin and theme continuation to be edited in the filzezilla files.

Error :: Already i have tried when i edited in the header navigation:
i have edited the widget_fucntion.php, header not sent, it is already sent.

Is there any remedy for this…. I want to include the functionality in the home page.
