I followed the steps to enable multisite and it went smoothly. However, when I now go to the Add New Site option under My Sites > Network Admin > Sites, I can’t create a new site that does anything other than give me a 404. The UI doesn’t return any errors, the site just isn’t there.

To help me troubleshoot this issue, what is supposed to happen when I create a new site? If I try to navigate to the login for the new site, I get a 404 just like the new home page URL. Are some dirs and files supposed to be created when I create a new site? because I don’t see anything new.

One weird thing is that I was already using blog.domain.com for the main site, so now I have test.blog.domain.com. Is that the correct format for subdomain multisites? It said that I had to use subdomains since I already had a site before enabling multisite.

    Thanks for your help

This is resolved. The issue was that I was using an ANAME mapping instead of a subdomain mapping in GoDaddy. So no WordPress issue here.
