[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] Multi pages (page2/3 etc) aren't indexed

This particular site’s theme allows a post category to be added to a page. When the category requires more than one page, the url changes nicely to categoryname/page/2/ etc but the title stays the same. I also notice the additional pages aren’t getting indexed. I left the category itself as “index” so the content is found by search engines but not as a part of the page the viewer actually sees when using the site’s navigation, which is a bit confusing.
Is there a way in WP SEO to no-index the category but have the posts-in-pages indexed?
