installation issues

  • I just installed wordpress via hostgator, however when I go to login the admin page I receive this message:

    No data received
    Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.
    Here are some suggestions:
    Reload this webpage later.
    Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.

    I’ve read through some of the other posts to see if I could figure this problem out but none of the posts seem to be the same. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that didn’t work. I’m pretty new to this whole website building so please respond with simple terms that I would be able to follow. I’ve posted the link to my site so that you may see the problem.

  • Did you change name servers at namecheap.com so that domain points to your host account if so you may have to 2 days to fully propagate.

    Seems like you have’nt updated your domain’s nameservers yet.
    If you have updated, please wait 24 hrs. for DNS propogation to be completed.

    If nothing happens, try installing WordPress manually by uploading files yourself on your FTP Client. ??

    Do you guys mind explaining how I change the name servers. So sorry, I’m new to this website stuff and I’m learning as I go along. I would really appreciate it if you can do a step by step explanation. Thanks so much!

    You need log in namecheap as that as where you bought the domain name in there there should some setting that is set by default so the domain name is parked on namecheap server.you need ask their support if you do not know where it is.

    Your host should have given DNS setting when you created the host account most likely is in welcome email.
