• Good day,

I just set up Multi-Site and it seems like everything went smooth…at first..
I made the conversions in wp.confige. change the .htaccess code and added blogs.dir into my directory.

From the main site, everything loaded fine and i was able to access my dashboad. I looked tools and found my new network settings. YAY! I added a new site (which is a sub domain), added a theme (which was already UNactive from my stack of themes on the main site) yet when I click on the top link referencing EDIT SITE: It takes me to a blank page..BOOO!

I feel it is a simple code error but not sure where to turn. I check a few forums and thought i may have found the solutio. No luck!

If any one knows the fix, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Cheers-

  • Usually, when you see a blank screen, it is a PHP error, or what they call in Drupal, a White Screen of Death.

You said that this happened right after you added that theme, so maybe the theme has a PHP error in it somewhere. I suggest deleting the folder for that theme and then you should be see twenty eleven occupy your blog with no errors, then reinstall your theme.

We call it the same here ??

Delete the theme folder is the right way about it.

Thanks for the response guys! So reinstalled everything from scratch.
Im not getting the White screen anymore but its responding with server cannot be found. Any suggestions? After walking step by step through the tutorial i feel like i am doing everything correctly.

Do i need to change permissions? would that be causing my “new subdomian site” to be unresponsive?

Does my sub domains folder need to point to the root (/) or to the subdomain folder (/subdomain)?

    Root.

You didn’t have to uninstall everything, though, just the theme.
