[Plugin: Add From Server] Upload file time not correct?

  • I have a bunch of newsletters which I zipped together on my windows machine and FTP’d to my Linux ISP server. There in my cPanel I can extract the zip files. I can see all the newsletters have the correct date, same as on my Windows machine.

    Now I use Add From Server to import into the media library. I made sure the Set Imported Date radio button was selected for File Time. However, after import, in the media library, each file has the current date, and not the actual file date.

    Is there something else I need to do to get the Import Date correct in the media library?

    The found my problem. I had uploaded the zip file into the uploads/2012/10 directory and did the add from server there. All the files had a date of 10/1/2012.

    I moved all the files to the uploads directory and did the Add from Server from there. Now all the files went into individual directories with the correct date.
