File permissions and access

  • Right – basically I want to create a site which I can upload content to as folders /zips, ready for download for my clients, but I want set each client a individual username and password that will enable them to only dl specific folders, essentially an FTP site. I have seen a few plugins that allow specific file permissions for individual users but wanted to know if anyone else had implemented anything like this and knew of any pitfalls to watch out for.
