    Hey,

    Love subscribe2 but I notice when I post up a new blog entry, I then receive three emails saying I have posted up a new item. Is there a place that denominates what it sends out and how many times?

    One is the complete post with partially the background (aka unreadable as the background is blue), two are excerpts of the post in plain text.

    From what I gather, no other member has complained of this. Could it be because I’m admin?

  • @newbiewriter,

    From the FAQs:

    Why is my admin address getting emails from Subscribe2?
    This plugin sends emails to your subscribers using the BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) header in email messages. Each email is sent TO: the admin address. There may be emails for a plain text excerpt notification, plain text full text and HTML format emails and additionally if the number of recipients per email has been set due to hosting restrictions duplicate copies of these emails will be sent to the admin address.

    One way to prevent this if you don’t like it is to set the number of recipients per email to 1 in the Subscribe2->Settings page, This sends emails directly to recipients rather than using the BCC header.

    Mine is set to 1 and still when checking the layout of my emails, I click send preview, I get 3 emails and all have similar content but are different layout/font. weird.

    @crazy3rdgen,

    It’s expected behaviour. The plugin generates up to 4 different email types so you get a preview for each type.
