[Plugin: Wysija Newsletters] new subscription form

I have made a new subscription form because I need to add custom fields and put it on an external php page I made(not the one from WordPress). I linked it to the wysija user table in the database so that everytime there is a new subscriber, it will still be added to the user table of wysija. so my question is, if a new subscriber subscribes using the form that I made, can he still receive the automatic newsletter that is being sent automatically if there is/are new subscriber/s?
