    Hi Dean,

We have had a few issues with calendars running slowly due to them having an exceptionally high number of events. Can you confirm that this is not the case with your calendar?

    Hey Richard,

I wouldn’t say we had lots of events, we did have lots of recurring events and such like. It’s a shame because it was a great plugin but we’ve had to deactivate it as the P3 Plugin told us that it takes the calendar plugin over 120 seconds to load!!

    Hi deanrobertsnet,

This is not normal. Please email [email protected] with [for Richard] in the title. Please also provide a link.

    Thanks

    hi Richard,

When you say that a lot of events can cause sites to go slow, do you mean total events on the database (including expired events), or just being displayed on the page at any one time?

I am hoping to have a lot more events on my site, but would be wary about using this plugin anymore if it is detrimental to the site performance.

    Hi majato,

We have had a few issues with users displaying 200+ events in single months. We are though working to improve this. I do not believe it is an issue with expired events.

    Hi All,

I am going to mark this thread as resolved as we have not heard from for four weeks.
