[Plugin: Paid Memberships Pro] Donation field?

PMP is outstanding, thanks for this exceptionally well-crafted plugin.
What is the best approach to offer a membership level with an open payment field for donors or sponsors (i.e. “Initial Payment” isn’t $0.00/free, but empty instead)?
