[Plugin: Events Manager] Custom sidebar, CSS, etc.
-
Hello,
First, I’d like to say that you have made a great plugin and I appreciate you letting the community benefit from your hard work. Very cool! I’ve just run into a few minor issues integrating and I’m hoping you could help point me in the right direction…
I use many different sidebars on my site and I have a custom nav bar for both BP and Event manager. I’ve been able to set it up to work with yoursite.com/events, but I can’t get it to work with yoursite.com/events/testevent. That just displays the default sidebar for my theme. Is there a way I can tell event manager to always use my custom sidebar or can I at least specify for the child pages of yoursite.com/events?
Also, is there a way that I can link custom pages to your “Categories”, “Events”, etc.? I’ve made some custom pages that fit my theme a bit better using your shortcodes, but the hard links you have still link back to your events, categories, etc. For instance, on your single events you have a link back to the parent category which doesn’t redirect where I would like. I have erased the html for now, but I’d like to have a link back. I know how to make a 301 redirect in my htaccess, but I figured I’d ask here first.
One final thing. The visual editor doesn’t work properly with my theme. I’ve read that timymce might be the culprit and unfortunately it’s installed and necessary on my site. For now, I’ve forced the form in html mode, but is there a way to modify this via css? I tried everything with firebug and I still can’t make it work. It basically gives me a transparent text box (no background) and the text is the same color as my page background. So it’s currently not possible to read, but if I could either change the text color or the textbox color, I’d be good to go.
I know this is a lot of stuff here, but hopefully you can point me in the right direction.
Thanks so much! You really made a great plugin!
