Deleting a theme and re-installing it

  • Hi,

    I’m running the Genesis Framework on a site of mine. I’m using their “News” theme. The site was done, looked great, and then suddenly the theme went white. I didn’t touch the site for weeks… it just went white one day…I’m assuming it’s the hosting company…. and they are looking into it…. but taking forever.

    Anyway, my question is… how do I re-install the news theme? I know I can unistall the Genesis Framework, but will that delete all my pages and content? I’m kind of new with this.

  • Reinstall your theme. Your content and pages will not be deleted.

    I was just worried because the Genesis Framework was the parent theme and I didn’t know if that made a difference.

    ALSO, one more question….

    On the form at https://joycepaint.com/contact/, NO CONTACT FORM I USE WILL WORK?? I’ve tried like 10 of them.

    They all say stuff like:
    Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.

    I’ve made a million contact forms with WordPress. It’s as simple as clicking install and then adding whatever code like –
    [contact-form-7 id=”96″ title=”Contact form 1″]

    Since I just re-installed this theme, I tried installing the contact plugin again and it still gives me the same error??

    Any ideas?

    Yeah, that doesn’t work… along with the other 10 I’ve tried. I’ve used the theme before, and the contact forms work there.

    I’m using namecheap.com

    Could the hosting company have something to do with it?

    Everything is in the root of the server… there is no reason it doesn’t work.

    Any ideas????

    You can use contact form 7 and if you get this error message “Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.” simply install this plugin- https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/configure-smtp/ don’t change any settings and try again to send message.
