Random switching from mobile version to desktop version

  • Hi,
    I’m using Wptouch free with WordPress 3.3.2 and I noticed something strange checking my website mobile viewing from my Iphone 4s. Sometimes the site is visualized correctly, but other times (clicking on some links) it switches to desktop viewing without a reason. I’m also using W3TotalCache Plugin and I read that this can cause some uncompatibility. So i added the user agent list written on the plugin settings page in the w3 TotalCache “Page cash”, “minify” and “CDN” pages. Anyway, the problem seems not resolved. Is this a problem of the free version? Do I need to upgrade to the Pro version to resolve the trouble?

  • What’s happening is your caching plugin is serving cached pages to your mobile device. It’s unrelated to WPtouch. Be sure to clear not only the plugin’s cache but also your local device data as well as any other server/plugin/theme caches that may have those pages stored.
