Change from draft to publish in batch mode and change publish date

  • I usually have about 20-30 drafts pending on my WP and I sometimes publish 5 random posts every day or so. Now when I go to my draft screen, I see all of my current drafts. If I select 5 random posts and click on edit, I have the option to batch publish. The problem is that it publishes them using the date I created the draft and not the date that I actually published the post (which would be that minute). Is there anyway around this or a plugin that could help me out? It is a pain to have to click on each post and change the date. Any help would be appreciated.

    A temp solution is to make the post status “pending review” and then publish – this seems to update the timestamp for me.

    Not ideal, but saves me a little time.
