• Hello there

My website database was deleted and cannot be restored from my web host.

I have the wordpress folder: index.php, ‘graphics’ folder and contents and ‘wordpress’ folder and contents.

Is it possible to restore the structure of my website even if news posts are lost, or are these files worthless without the database?

It would be really handy to know whether I can restore with the files I have or whether I need to start from scratch.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Rebecca

  • Yes you may use back your WordPress folder. You can activate your theme through the Appearance tab once your re-install your WordPress. You will need to redo all the configurations.

You may re-install WordPress by creating a new database using the database details as written in your wp-config.php file (inside your WordPress folder).

Visit your site, the installer should appear to take you through the installation process.
