Best way to add a drop down menu?

    Hello,

    My main horizontal navigation bar needs a drop down menu selection under one of the items. What is the best way to do this? Can it be done via CSS or do I have to install a plugin?

  • Most themes have dropdown navigation in their css. Are you using a custom menu? If so, just add a page to your menu, make it a child of a parent page and see if your theme is set up.

    If you can provide a link to your site, we can give you more instructions. It really depends on the theme you are using.

    The theme is custom, and doesn’t have the drop down in the CSS. Is there somewhere I can find drop down CSS? I’ve looked on the WP site and have not found it.

    This kind of CSS design usually has to be added on a per theme basis but you could look around for a dropdown menu plugin.
