I recently installed sendpress, bur ran into a snag because my site it hosted with godaddy and godaddy blocks port 465. Consequently, sendpress is not able to use gmail.

I have contacted gaodaddy and they have suggested that they have no plans to open port 465 and as far as I can see, there doesn’t seem to be another solution except to move to a different hosting company. Having said that, what hosting company would you recommend?

    Thank you in advance.

    Sincerely

Depends how much you are looking to spend. Blue host is great if you want a shared server. We run our own VPS, but if you’re looking for your own server can recommend a good VPS provider. I have heard good things about host gator as well, but never used them. I would deftly recommend leaving Go Daddy anyway. Their service is pretty terrible.

Thank you for the feedback. I think you have confirmed what I have been thinking about godaddy. As much as I dread the thought of moving everything over to a new hosting company, I guess it is something that needs to be done.
