I see a problem in Publicize. My web is in Spanish language, and when I use special characters at the title of the post (!, á, é, etc.), the sharing in WordPress appears with the HTML code of it (for example, ó instead of “ó”).

Another question: can I add hashtags when Publicize publishes in Twitter?

I have the same problem. When using unicode in post, publicize change all unicode string to html decimal entities and send it to facebook. Facebook change all& to &amp. So all unicode string appear in browser something like this &amp ;#4129;&amp ;#4140;&amp ;#4123;&amp ;#4096;

Hungarian characters, example: árvízt?r? tük?rfúrógép áRVíZT?R? TüK?RFúRóGéP

In Publicize Facebook: árvíztűrő tükörfúrógép ÁRVÍZTŰRŐ TÜKÖRFÚRÓGÉP

For work around:
comment out line 153 in modules/publicize.php
//$string = mb_convert_encoding( $string, ‘HTML-ENTITIES’, ‘UTF-8’ );

Hello,

I was a wordpress.com user writing in Greek language and I had a great flawless experience with Publicize for 3 years. But now (4 days ago) that I changed to www.ads-software.com some of the posts Publicize makes only on Facebook (Twitter posts are fine) are not in Greek Language but shown like that: “?¤?-?????? ?????1?? ?????μ?????μ?1?? roaming ???μ ?????· ???·?? ???????????· ?±???? ???? 2014!”

Can you help me with my issue?
