2012 Nav Menus Burried behind Slideshow Gallery 1.2.3.2

Looking for a fix to give the Nav Menus priority over the Slidshow Gallery 1.2.3.2. I want to keep the Slideshow gallery as high on the page as possible, but long nested menu trees are showing up behind it. There must be a simple way to fix this….I guess? Overall it is a very nice plugin!
