Track Listing Plugin ?

  • I hope i am in the correct place and i really hope someone can help me.
    I am looking for a plugin that is either already developed or certainly close enough for me to modify to suit my needs.
    What i want is a facility for my site users to create lists text of Music Albums. Don’t ask why.
    I will provide a database of Music Albums, by Artist, with all the tracks listed on the Album. I would like users to be able to create their List within my site and then simply choose the albums to add to it. Then when printed, my users will have a list of all the songs on all their albums.

    Consider it a way for a DJ to quickly produce a list of all his tracks, by simply selecting his album names.

    I don’t imagine a plugin exactly like this exists, but if anybody can think outside the box of a similar plugin which could be modified i would greatly appreciate it.

    Great suggestion and thank you for your prompt response. I hadn’t thought of a playlist plugin because i had assumed that they would go hand in hand with an audio player and i don’t intend having actual audio. Am i wrong ?

    I think it will vary greatly from plugin to plugin.

    I’ve had a look through the playlist plugins, but i don’t think they are going to fit my needs. They are all on a per song basis. Basically i have a database of thousands of album listings with the usual 12 – 17 tracks per album. All i want is for my users to be able to create a list of all their personal tracks by selecting the album titles. Just to save them from typing thousands of tracks. Unfortunately the playlist plugins aren’t going to cut it. Thanks for your help, but does anyone have any other suggestions ?
