Can’t upgrade to version 2

  • Hi,
    I’ve been using WP for a few years & have never had trouble upgrading.
    I uploaded all the new file but when I go to wp-admin/upgrade.php I get this:

    Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: wp in /home/infinite/public_html/yummy/wp-settings.php on line 205

    I can’t work out where I went wrong!

    Any help will be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

  • Seems like others who’ve reported cannot instantiate errors either had plugins causing problems or something was wrong with ftp upload of the WordPress files.
