Tweets don't download, account not created

I managed to connect the Twitter account in Social and enable it in Twitter Tools, however the plugin is not downloading tweets. I clicked the “Download Tweets” button under settings, but after I do that, when I go to “Tweets” from WordPress admin, it says “no posts found”. If I go to “Tweets -> Accounts” WordPress admin, the account I set up in Social has no entry and it says “No items found”. I am wondering if this could be a server/host limitation, as I have tried a couple of other twitter plugins and none of them work. Please help!
