Make sure your copy of the files are not corrupt.

Yes it’s there, I checked, but WordPress complains that it can’t find it. I delated the plugin and tried re-instaling it several times.

Other plugins do install in a proper way. So that narrows it down to the plugin code

Obviously something strange is going with the plugin code. Maybe WordPress throws the wrong error code and it’s not the header but something else that fails to process properly.

Also never seen this error before. After the initial error I can activate the plugin, but it doesn’t work. Which brings me to the conclusion: “Broken in some way”, but no idea why or what.

Yeah, I dunno. I installed it and activated it on my test site. Works fine. Must be something specific to your setup.

Yeah…. having working it on your test site doesn’t proof that it’ll run on ever days hosting account. It doesn’t run on mine anyway. Actually all proper coded plugins do run on it, never had a problem with them till I tested this plugin of yours.

So bluntly assuming it’s specific to my setup, doesn’t bring you any points as a coder. Not for your coding skills as I already mentioned in my other post, nor from a support point of view.

Okay, firstly, this isn’t “my” plugin. I didn’t write it.

Secondly, I took a look at the actual plugin’s code, and it does have a header, and the header is absolutely correct, and when I installed it through WordPress’s auto-installer on a test site, the plugin activated and worked fine.

So, yeah, given all the above, I’m going to say that whatever problem you’re having is on your end.

If you want to just continue having the problem instead of accepting my expert advice and attempts to help you, for free, out of the kindness of my heart, well then that’s just your business, isn’t it?

When you ask for help with a problem, be prepared to listen to the advice people give you on that problem. If you don’t want help, then don’t post in these forums.

Rereading your former posts your “expert advice” and your “attempts” to help really appear no existent.

This hold true when I compare your replies to other plugin developers I contacted in the past years.

Secondly trying to enforce “accepting your expert advice” implying that you are an “expert” on the matter and not giving any practical useful advice at all, doesn’t do your status any good not as a forum moderator nor a code developer.

I am an expert on this matter, in fact. I not only write plugins, I help write the code that runs this forum, this site, and WordPress itself.

The problem here, basically, is that I cannot perform magic and make things on your end just magically work. All I can do is give you advice and tips here, in text, to try to get you to debug the problem yourself. It is your site that is having the problem after all, so if you’re not interested in fixing it, then posting here is kind of pointless.

When you want to solve your problems, feel free to post on these forums again. Until then, just complaining that you have problems doesn’t really help anybody else.
